Project Assistant, Chemistry / Physics at SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram

About the position

Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram invites applications for one Project Assistant post in Chemistry or Physics. The post is in the Biomedical Technology Wing. It is for the DST funded project "Development and evaluation of batch production system for making micro-needle array patches for trans-dermal drug delivery" (P.8261). The work is fabrication and characterization of polymeric microneedles.

Eligibility

• Essential qualification: B.Sc Chemistry / Physics
• Age limit as on 01.10.2026: 50 years
• Vacancies: 1 (EWS). In the absence of eligible EWS candidates, UR will be considered.
• Experience, where prescribed, means experience gained after acquiring the essential qualification.
• Candidates already in service must produce a No Objection Certificate from the present employer at the interview.

Fellowship / pay

Rs.20,000/- + 18% HRA per month.

2. Carry the duly filled Recruitment Report Form and bio-data.
3. Carry original and self-attested copies of certificates for age, qualifications and experience.
4. EWS candidates must carry a valid Income and Asset certificate in the prescribed Central Government format, issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar.
5. No TA/DA is paid. A qualifying written test may be held for screening depending on the number of candidates. Its marks are not counted for final ranking.
