About the position

Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram, invites walk-in applicants for Project Research Scientist II (Non-Medical). The post is in the Biomedical Technology Wing. It is for the ICMR funded project P.8286 on an injectable hydrogel system loaded with mesenchymal stem cell exosomes for chronic diabetic wound healing. There is 1 vacancy, reserved for ST.

Eligibility

• Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Biological Sciences including the Integrated PG Degrees, with 3 years' experience, OR Ph.D.
• Desirable: Ph.D.
• Essential experience: cell culture technique, molecular biology techniques, secretome isolation, proteomics analysis, 3D culture, animal experimentation.
• Desirable experience: exosome isolation and characterization.
• Experience means experience gained after acquiring the prescribed essential qualification.
• Age limit: 40 years as on 1 Nov 2026.
• Vacancy: 1 ST. If no eligible ST candidate is available, SC candidates will be considered, and then UR.

Fellowship / pay

• Rs.67,000/- + 20% HRA per month.
• Duration: initially up to 13 Sep 2027, likely to be extended up to 13 Sep 2030.
