Research Associate (RA), Computer Science at SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram

About the position

Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram, invites applications for one Project Scientist (Professional) post, treated here as Research Associate. The post is in Computer Science and is based at the Biomedical Technology Wing. It is for the Institute (TDF) funded project "Paperless blood bank: Blood banking: driving patient safety through digital health initiative" (P.6275). The job is software development using PHP and web development tools.

Eligibility

• Essential: B.E / B.Tech degree in Computer Science / Information Technology with 60% marks.
• Desirable: experience in software development using PHP.
• Experience, where prescribed, means experience gained after acquiring the prescribed essential qualification.
• Age limit: 35 years as on 1 Nov 2026.
• Vacancy: 1 (OBC). If no eligible OBC candidate is available, UR will be considered.
• OBC candidates must upload a valid non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed format for Central Govt. institutions, issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar.

Fellowship / pay

• Monthly emoluments: Rs.20,000/- + 20% HRA.
• Duration: initially up to 21 Sep 2027, likely to be extended up to 21 Sep 2028.

4. Eligible candidates will be called for a written test and interview at the Biomedical Technology Wing, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram 695 012. The schedule will be sent to the email id given in the application.
5. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview. Marks in the written test, if conducted, are not counted for final ranking.
