About the position

SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram invites applications for Project Research Scientist (Non-Medical), treated here as Research Associate, in Life Sciences. The post is in the Biomedical Technology Wing. It is for the ICMR funded project "Development of the off-the-shelf Platelet-Induced Mesenchymal stem cells Exosome loaded Injectable Hydrogel System for Chronic Diabetic Wound healing" (P.8286). There is 1 post, reserved for SC. The initial tenure runs up to 13 Sep 2027 and is likely to be extended up to 13 Sep 2030.

Eligibility

• Essential qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences including the Integrated PG Degrees.
• Desirable qualification: Ph.D.
• Essential experience: Cell culture technique, molecular biology techniques in case of Ph.D.
• Desirable experience: Cell culture technique, molecular biology techniques.
• Experience means experience gained after acquiring the prescribed essential qualification.
• Age limit: 35 years as on 01.11.2026.
• Vacancy: 1 SC. In the absence of eligible SC candidates, OBC candidates will be considered, and then UR.
• Job description: project specific activities, design and conduct of experiments, compilation of data.

Fellowship / pay

Rs.56,000/- + 20% HRA per month.

4. SC candidates carry a valid caste certificate. OBC candidates carry a non-creamy layer certificate, in the prescribed Central Govt. format issued by an officer not below the rank of Tahsildar.
5. Candidates in service must bring a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
6. No TA/DA is paid. A qualifying written test may be held for screening depending on the number of candidates. Its marks will not count for final ranking.
