Research Associate (RA), Computer Science at IIM Mumbai

About the position

IIM Mumbai invites applications for one Research Associate post at its Centre of Excellence (CoE) in AI for Green Technology. The work applies AI and analytics to sustainability, energy systems, climate risk and green operations. The post is temporary, for 6 months at first, and may be extended. The maximum tenure is 2 years.

Eligibility

• Education: B.Tech / B.Sc. / M.Tech / M.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Environmental Engineering, Energy Systems, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
• Desirable: strong foundation in AI/ML, data analytics, optimization or simulation.
• Desirable: experience with sustainability, energy or climate-related datasets.
• Desirable: proficiency in Python/R and ML frameworks (for example TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Desirable: exposure to LLMs, Generative AI or AI applications in sustainability.
• Skills: strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, good written and verbal communication, ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams, high motivation for research in AI and sustainability.

Fellowship / pay

• Rs 40,000/- to Rs 60,000/- per Month (commensurate with educational qualifications).
• Leave as per institute norms for contractual employees.
• No other allowances. No accommodation is provided.
