Assistant Professor (Research Track), Management at IIM Raipur

About the position

IIM Raipur invites applications for faculty positions on the Research Track, covering the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. The track is open across eight areas of management: Economics and Public Policy, Finance and Accounts, HRM and OB, Humanities and Liberal Arts, Information Systems, Marketing Management, Operations and Quantitative Techniques, and Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Faculty on this track focus primarily on research and publication in FT50, ABDC A* and ABDC A journals, with a lighter teaching load of 60 hours a year in the MBA and PhD programmes. The number of posts is not stated in the notice.

Eligibility

Minimum qualification for all faculty positions: PhD in the appropriate branch with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree, with a very good academic record throughout, and at least one year of work experience in industry or corporate before or after the PhD.

Professor: minimum 10 years of teaching, research or industrial experience, of which at least 4 years at the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IIMs, NITIE, IISc Bangalore or an equivalent institution.

Associate Professor: minimum 6 years of teaching, research or industrial experience, of which at least 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

Assistant Professor Grade I: minimum three years of teaching, research or industrial experience, excluding the PhD period. A fresh PhD may be considered on a contract basis.

Assistant Professor Grade II: fresh PhD in the appropriate branch. Candidates who have given the viva voce with a provisional award of PhD may also apply. Candidates with publications in quality journals will be preferred.

Fellowship / pay

Professor: Level 14A, Rs. 1,59,100 to 2,20,200, Entry Pay Rs. 1,59,100.

Associate Professor: Level 13A2, Rs. 1,39,600 to 2,11,300, Entry Pay Rs. 1,39,600.

Assistant Professor Grade I: Level 12, Rs. 1,01,500 to 1,67,400, Entry Pay Rs. 1,01,500.

Assistant Professor Grade II: Level 11, Rs. 68,900 to 1,17,200, Rs. 89,900 minimum basic.

Pay carries other allowances as applicable to central government employees stationed at Raipur, including LTC, medical reimbursement, education allowance, NPS contribution, faculty development allowance and conference support, as per Institute norms.
